Kolkata, 04 February (H.S.): West Bengal Governor C V Ananda Bose on Wednesday appointed Debal Ray as the new Chairman of the West Bengal Public Service Commission, according to an official statement issued by the Raj Bhavan.

The statement said that Debashis Banerjee, Diganta Bagchi and Barnali Mukherjee have been appointed as members of the commission. The appointments have been made under Article 316 (1) of the Constitution.

The West Bengal Public Service Commission is responsible for conducting examinations and overseeing recruitment for civil services and other government posts in the state.
