25 Feb (HS): On Wednesday, the third day of a four-day visit led by Chief

Minister Yogi Adityanath, Uttar Pradesh Industrial Development Minister Nand

Gopal Gupta Nandi arrived in Tokyo, the capital of Japan. He was welcomed by

Yamanashi Prefecture Vice Governor Junichi Ishider, Indian Ambassador to Japan

Nagma M. Malik, and members of the Indian community.

A

meeting was held with Kazuki Shimizu, Managing Officer and Chief Operating

Officer of Mitsui & Co.'s Infrastructure Projects Business Unit, and senior

members of his team. New opportunities were discussed. Mitsui & Co. was

invited to explore transformative investment opportunities in renewable energy,

ICT, semiconductors, and data centers in Uttar Pradesh, aligned with the

state's rapid industrial expansion. Collaboration in infrastructure projects,

logistics networks, and industrial investment to strengthen Uttar Pradesh's

growth corridors and global supply chain integration was also discussed.

CM met with Ishiguro Norihiko, Chairman and CEO of the Japan External Trade

Organization. Praised JETRO's continued work in strengthening Japan-India

economic cooperation. Norihiko stated that Japanese companies in India are keen

to expand their activities given the excellent investment climate in the country,

and identified Uttar Pradesh as a strong growth engine driven by growing

infrastructure and industrial capacity. He reaffirmed Uttar Pradesh's

commitment to strong legal system, adequate land bank, fast-track approvals,

and investor-friendly policy framework, which will further deepen India-Japan

industrial partnership.

Nandi participated in the Uttar Pradesh Investment Road Show in Japan, the land

of the rising sun, led by Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, engaging in

meaningful dialogue with prominent industry leaders and inviting them to invest

in the new Uttar Pradesh. Today, the new Uttar Pradesh is not ailing, but

rather, a brake on India's economy, contributing to the nation's growth.

MoU

signed with Minda Corporation to further strengthen the state's advanced auto

component manufacturing ecosystem: Following the roadshow, a delegation from

Minda Corporation (Spark Minda Group) and its Japanese joint venture partners

met, including Akash Minda, Executive Director, Minda Corporation, and Hiroaki

Omori, Managing Director and CFO, Spark Minda Toyo Denso Private Limited. A MoU

was signed to further strengthen Uttar Pradesh's advanced auto component

manufacturing ecosystem. The delegation was assured of full support from the

Uttar Pradesh government, including facilitating access, land, and

infrastructure support, further strengthening our commitment to industrial

growth, technology partnerships, and job creation.

Senior

leadership from Suzuki Motor Corporation and Maruti Suzuki India Limited met to

deepen industrial collaboration with Uttar Pradesh. The meeting included Suzuki

Motor Corporation President Toshihiro Suzuki, Kenichi Ayukawa, Koichi Suzuki, H.

Takeuchi, and Rahul Bharti. Suzuki's plans to enter the renewable energy sector

through a proposed compressed bio-gas plant in the state were discussed, as

well as expanding its supplier ecosystem to strengthen the automotive value

chain and generate employment. Maruti Suzuki's vision to increase its

production capacity in India from 2 million to 4 million vehicles annually was

also discussed. Land at competitive rates for renewable energy projects in the

Bundelkhand Industrial Development Authority and suitable land parcels across

Uttar Pradesh for the development of auto clusters were offered, which will

strengthen our shared vision of sustainable industrial growth and green

mobility.

On

the first day of his stay in Japan, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath held cordial

conversations with members of the Indian community living in Tokyo. The Chief

Minister appealed to everyone to contribute to Prime Minister Narendra Modi's

commitment to one India, a great India, a self-reliant India, and a developed

India by connecting with Japan's progress and India's development.

A

formal and productive meeting was held with the senior leadership of Marubeni

Corporation's Finance Business Group. The meeting featured detailed and

positive discussions on the vast potential for industrial investment, the

establishment of innovative manufacturing facilities, and long-term

partnerships in Uttar Pradesh. Information was shared about the state's

world-class infrastructure, integrated law and order, integrated and

industry-friendly policy framework, and the developing tribal industrial

ecosystem. Presenting Uttar Pradesh as a promising and promising destination

for global industry and investment, a formal invitation was extended for

investment and industrial expansion.

Industrial

Development Minister Nand Gopal Gupta Nandi led a fruitful meeting with a

delegation from Toshiba Energy Systems & Solutions Corporation, resulting

in an agreement on investment in the state's logistics sector. This partnership

will strengthen the state's infrastructure capabilities on a global scale.
