24 Feb (HS): Sam Higginbottom University of Agriculture, Technology and
Sciences (SHUATS) is set to host a grand two-day 'Kisan Mela and Exhibition' on
April 10–11, 2026. The event aims to showcase agricultural innovations,
advanced machinery, and farmer-friendly government schemes. To mark the
commencement of preparations, a massive Awareness Rally was organized within
the university campus.
Leading
the rally, the Vice-Chancellor Prof. (Dr.) Rajendra B. Lal emphasized the
university's commitment to rural development. He stated that our objective is
not just to practice agriculture but to make it profitable. This Kisan Mela
will manifest the 'Lab to Land' vision. We are committed to providing farmers
with technologies that not only boost productivity but also safeguard crops
against climate change. I urge all farmers in the region to participate and

awareness rally saw the participation of Vice-Chancellor Prof. (Dr.) Rajendra
B. Lal, Registrar Dr. Ranu Prasad, Pro-VC (Admin) Prof. Dr. Biswaroop Mehra,
Director (PR) Dr. Ramakant Dubey, and Program Convener Capt. (Dr.) Amish John
Stephen. Other notable attendees included Additional Registrar Dr. John Wesley,
