
New Delhi, 18 February (H.S.): Prime Minister Narendra Modi conducted bilateral discussions on Wednesday with Croatian Prime Minister Andrej Plenković on the margins of the India AI Impact Summit. The two leaders explored avenues to fortify bilateral ties and amplify collaboration in pivotal domains such as artificial intelligence (AI), information and communication technology, innovation, and clean energy.
Foreign Ministry spokesperson Randhir Jaiswal disclosed via an X post that both sides expressed consensus to accelerate the rollout of the India-European Union Free Trade Agreement.
During the meeting, Prime Minister Modi lauded the Croatian populace's deep fascination with Indian culture, especially Indology, Yoga, and Ayurveda.The ongoing summit, spanning February 16 to 20, stands as the world's fourth conclave of its kind. It succeeds three prior global AI summits: the 2023 AI Safety Summit at Bletchley Park in the UK, the 2024 AI Seoul Summit in South Korea, and the 2025 AI Implementation Summit in Paris, France.
