
Rawalpindi (Pakistan), 01 February (H.S.): Pakistan's security forces have concluded their campaign against insurgents in Balochistan. This two-day operation resulted in 133 rebels killed and 15 security personnel lost. The announcement came from the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) headquarters in Rawalpindi via an official communique from Pakistan Armed Forces (Army, Navy, Air Force) public relations.
According to Dunya News report, ISPR's statement specified targeting insurgent strength in Quetta, Mastung, Nushki, Dalbandin, Kharan, Panjgur, Tump, Gwadar, and Pasni. Rebels were accused of deliberately targeting civilians yesterday in Gwadar and Kharan districts. This action claimed 18 lives.
Security forces and law enforcement agencies subsequently launched operations against the insurgents. Strikes hit rebel hideouts. Security forces faced continuous rebel resistance over two consecutive days.
