Prayagraj, 9 Oct (HS): On the occasion, Air Marshal Tarun

Chaudhry, AVSM, VSM, Air Officer Commanding-in-Chief, Central Air Command, paid

tribute at the War Memorial to the brave air warriors who made the supreme

sacrifice in the line of duty, honouring their courage, devotion and selfless

service. The theme for this year’s Air Force Day is ‘Infallible, Impervious and

Precise’. The Hon’ble President of India, Hon’ble Vice President, Hon’ble Prime

Minister, Hon’ble Raksha Mantri, Hon’ble Raksha Rajya Mantri, Chief of Defence

Staff and Chief of the Air Staff extended their greetings to IAF personnel,

lauding the force’s stellar contribution to national security and exhorting

them to remain resolute and steadfast in the service of the nation.

As part of the commemoration, all personnel took a solemn

oath reaffirming their allegiance to the Constitution of India and their

commitment to the sovereignty, security and integrity of the nation.

Addressing personnel, the AOC-in-C extended his greetings to

all Air Warriors, Non-Combatants, Defence Security Corps (DSC) personnel,

civilian employees, veterans and their families. He commended their

professionalism and dedication, particularly their vital contribution to Humanitarian

Assistance and Disaster Relief (HADR) operations and other missions. The

AOC-in-C called upon personnel to pursue Operational Excellence, maintain a

high state of alertness and preserve total operational capability.

He emphasised ownership and accountability, continuous skill

enhancement, quality general education, physical fitness, road safety, emerging

technologies and the highest standards of military discipline, stressing that

every individual contributes to the IAF’s combat readiness and operational

effectiveness.

The commemoration concluded with personnel of Central Air

Command reaffirming their resolve to uphold the glorious traditions of the

Indian Air Force and serve the nation with honour, integrity, courage and

distinction, inspired by the sacrifices of their predecessors and committed to

‘Touch the Sky with Glory’, informed Wg Cdr Debartho Dhar, PRO &
