Guwahati, 30 October (HS): Three leading hospitality brands of the Indian Hotels Company Limited (IHCL) — Taj, Gateway and Ginger — are set to establish their presence in Guwahati as part of a new partnership between Adani Airports and IHCL to develop hospitality infrastructure.
Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma announced the development on Friday through a social media post, describing it as an indication of the growing business and investment opportunities in the state.
Big brands follow big opportunities and increasingly, they are coming to Assam, Sarma said, highlighting the proposed arrival of the three hotel brands in Guwahati.
The Chief Minister said the development reflects several positive trends, including rising passenger traffic, expanding tourism, increased business activities and growing investor confidence in Assam.
He also described the partnership as a vote of confidence in Guwahati's emerging importance as an aviation hub.
The proposed hospitality projects are expected to strengthen Guwahati's hospitality infrastructure and add to the city's capacity to cater to tourists, business travellers and other visitors.-------------
