Lucknow, Oct 27 (HS): Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi
Adityanath is preparing for Ayodhya's 10th big and holy Deepotsav, which aims
to resurrect the sacred atmosphere of the Treta Yuga and establish new world
records with millions of clay lights (diyas) along the Sarayu River's banks.
The annual Deepotsav ritual, which began in 2017 with 1.71 lakh (171,000) diyas
under Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, has evolved to be a giant global emblem
of Sanatan culture and devotion. The celebration includes lit ghats at Ram Ki
Paidi and the Sarayu River, spectacular processions (Shobha Yatras) with
Pushpak Vimaan replicas, Ramayana tableaus, and cultural acts that reenact Lord
Ram's glorious homecoming to Ayodhya.
Organizers and university volunteers are attempting to light
over 3 million (30 lakh) diyas, breaking existing Guinness World Records (such
as over 26.17 lakh diyas lighted at the 9th Deepotsav). CM Yogi emphasized
Ayodhya's post-2017 metamorphosis, which includes the Shri Ram Mandir,
Maharishi Valmiki International Airport, renovated ghats, the Rampath corridor,
and its development as a solar city.
In a post on X, he mentioned, “The foremost among the Sapta
Puries, the divine Sri Ayodhya Dham, is thrilled in anticipation of welcoming
its 10th grand and divine Deepotsav. The ethereal glow of millions of lamps
illuminating the banks of the Saryu, mesmerizing tableaux bringing scenes from
the Ramayana to life, majestic processions, and cultural performances will
rekindle the memories of the Treta Yuga in this grand festival. Every lamp will
symbolize boundless devotion to Lord Sri Ram, and every flame will proclaim the
glory of our eternal Sanatan culture. Yet, before the year 2017, Lord Sri Ram's
beloved city of Ayodhya endured neglect, disarray, and dilapidation. What
concern could a government that ordered bullets fired on innocent Ram devotees
and committed the sin of allowing namaz to be offered on the sacred steps of
Sri Hanuman Garhi possibly have for the development of Ram's
Ayodhya? By the grace of Lord Sri Ram, a new sunrise of development and
cultural renaissance dawned in Sri Ayodhya Ji after 2017.”
“Under the guidance of the esteemed Prime Minister Shri @narendramodi
Ji, the efforts of the double-engine government are enabling Ramnagari to
reclaim its ancient splendor. The grand and divine Sri Ram Temple, Maharishi
Valmiki International Airport, the well-appointed Ram Path, modernized ghats,
contemporary amenities, and Ayodhya's evolution into a solar city have
transformed it today into an extraordinary confluence of faith and modernity. The
most enchanting expression of this revival of Sri Ram Nagari is on display
during Deepotsav. The journey of Deepotsav, which began in 2017 with 1.71 lakh
lamps, has today become a symbol of the devotion and enthusiasm of crores of
Ram devotees across the country and the world. As in every year, this year too,
Ram devotees are ready to create a world record in lamp lighting. This
Deepotsav is the illumination of the dreams of those generations who, for
centuries, cherished the longing to behold their Ram's Ayodhya in its Treta
Yuga form. Today, every lamp of it is being kindled as a resolve—victory of
faith over the darkness of appeasement, the rise of cultural pride, and the
building of a developed India. Jai Jai Sri Ram,” he added.
