Lucknow, 10 Oct (HS): Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi
Adityanath extended his heartfelt greetings and best wishes to the people of
the state on the auspicious occasion of Sharadiya Navratri. He prayed to
Goddess Durga for the happiness, peace, prosperity, and well-being of the
people of the state.
In his message released on Saturday, Chief Minister Yogi
said that the worship of Goddess Durga has held a very important place in the
Indian Sanatan Dharma tradition since ancient times. Goddess Durga is the
presiding deity of power. She is the primordial power of the animate and
inanimate world, whose infinite forms are connected to the operation of the
universe and the welfare of the people.
The Chief Minister said that the Navratri festival,
celebrated twice a year, effectively represents Indian society's faith and
respect for the mother power. This festival inspires us to move forward on the
path of strength, devotion, restraint, service, and public welfare. Worshiping
Goddess Bhagwati on the auspicious occasion of Sharadiya Navratri infuses
positive energy into society and wishes for well-being in everyone's lives.
He said that during Sharadiya Navratri, a large number of
devotees visit the Devi temples, Shaktipeeths, and major religious sites in the
state for darshan and worship. For the convenience and safety of devotees, easy
darshan, cleanliness, lighting, drinking water, transportation, and other
necessary arrangements should be ensured in the temple complexes. He also
appealed to the devotees to cooperate in maintaining the cleanliness of the
temple complexes and surrounding areas and to celebrate Navratri with devotion,
discipline, and harmony.
Chief Minister Yogi said that this sacred festival of
worshipping Goddess Durga should bring happiness, peace, and prosperity to
everyone's life. With the blessings of Goddess Bhagwati, the spirit of social
harmony, goodwill, and public welfare in the state should be further
strengthened, and Uttar Pradesh should continue to progress and prosper, this
is his best wish.
