New Delhi, 10 October (H.S.): Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) national president Nitin Nabin launched a scathing attack on Rahul Gandhi, Arvind Kejriwal and the Opposition alliance, accusing them of attempting to create instability in the country rather than accepting the democratic mandate. Nabin said that India’s 1.4 billion people were moving forward on the path of peace and development, but the Opposition was unable to accept the country’s progress and prosperity. He asserted that any attempt to destabilise the nation would not be tolerated.

In a statement issued on Saturday, Nitin Nabin said that two political camps were actively engaged in what he described as a competition to foment chaos. According to him, one camp was led by the Opposition alliance under Rahul Gandhi, while the other comprised associates of Arvind Kejriwal. He said the public was watching these attempts and emphasised that respecting the people’s mandate was the responsibility of every political party in a democracy.

The BJP president alleged that, alongside political motives, foreign forces were also involved in efforts to destabilise the country. He said India was continuing on its development trajectory despite global crises and strengthening its identity as a self-reliant and powerful nation. The Opposition, he alleged, was unwilling to acknowledge this progress.

Nitin Nabin asserted that the strength of Indian democracy and the patriotism of its people would prevent the Opposition from succeeding in its alleged designs. He warned that spreading falsehoods in the name of the Constitution and democracy to challenge the people’s mandate amounted to an insult to the electorate.

Nitin Nabin further said that, over the past 12 years under Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership, the country had made efforts to overcome an atmosphere of fear, curb terrorism and eliminate Naxalism. However, he alleged that certain elements continued to work towards destabilising the nation through what he described as an “urban Naxal” mindset.

He said the public was closely observing the language used by Rahul Gandhi and other Opposition leaders, as well as their attitude towards constitutional institutions. India’s youth, he asserted, remained committed to the Constitution, democracy and Indian culture and would not accept such politics.

The BJP president also alleged that frustration arising from repeated electoral defeats had prompted the Opposition to attempt to create an atmosphere of tension in the country. He said BJP workers would respond to such efforts by remaining engaged with the public and countering the Opposition’s narrative.

Nitin Nabin reaffirmed that the BJP remained committed to sustaining the country’s development momentum under Prime Minister Narendra Modi and strengthening public confidence. He asserted that all forces, operating either within India or from abroad, that sought to undermine the country’s peace, stability and development would be dealt with firmly.
