
New Delhi, 10 October (H.S.): Rising gold prices in the global market have driven a sharp increase in domestic bullion rates, with gold becoming more expensive across most Indian markets on Saturday. Silver prices, meanwhile, remained unchanged for the fourth consecutive day.
Following the latest increase, gold prices rose by Rs 1,080 to Rs 1,190 per 10 grams across most bullion markets in the country.
After the increase, 24-carat gold was trading at prices ranging from Rs 1,50,720 to Rs 1,50,870 per 10 grams in most markets. Similarly, 22-carat gold was selling at prices between Rs 1,38,160 and Rs 1,38,310 per 10 grams.
With silver prices remaining unchanged, the precious metal continued to trade at Rs 2,34,900 per kilogram in the Delhi bullion market.
City-wise gold prices
In Delhi, 24-carat gold was trading at Rs 1,50,870 per 10 grams, while 22-carat gold was priced at Rs 1,38,310 per 10 grams.
In Mumbai, the country’s financial capital, 24-carat gold was selling at Rs 1,50,720 per 10 grams, while 22-carat gold was priced at Rs 1,38,160 per 10 grams.
In Ahmedabad, the retail price of 24-carat gold stood at Rs 1,50,770 per 10 grams, while 22-carat gold was available at Rs 1,38,210 per 10 grams.
In Chennai, 24-carat gold was trading at Rs 1,50,720 per 10 grams, while 22-carat gold was priced at Rs 1,38,160 per 10 grams. Kolkata recorded the same rates, with 24-carat gold at Rs 1,50,720 per 10 grams and 22-carat gold at Rs 1,38,160 per 10 grams.

Gold prices rise in southern and eastern markets
Gold prices also maintained an upward trend in Karnataka, Telangana and Odisha, in line with developments in other parts of the country.

The latest movement in domestic gold prices reflects the impact of gains in the international market, while silver has continued to trade without any change for four consecutive days.
