New Delhi, 30 January (H.S.): Union Petroleum and Natural Gas Minister Hardeep Singh Puri declared on Friday that India has further strengthened its position within the global energy sector. He emphasized that India stands fully prepared for geopolitical transformations and remains at the epicenter of international energy dialogues.

Addressing the closing ceremony of India Energy Week (IEW) on Friday, Puri highlighted India's robust preparedness in tackling sustained geopolitical instability within global energy markets. Outlining India's global stance, he noted that the country ranks as the world's third-largest energy consumer, fourth-largest refiner, and one among the top petroleum product exporters.

The Petroleum Minister affirmed that amid global uncertainties, India will steadfastly ensure energy availability, affordability, and sustainability.

According to the Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas, India Energy Week serves as the nation's premier global energy platform, convening government luminaries, industry executives, and innovators to accelerate progress toward a secure, sustainable, and affordable energy future.

As a neutral international forum, IEW fosters investments, policy alignment, and technological collaborations that profoundly shape the global energy landscape.
