New Delhi, 21 January (H.S.): Electric two-wheeler manufacturer Matter inaugurated India's pioneering Artificial Intelligence-Defined Vehicle (AIDV) platform Thursday, heralding a paradigm shift where intelligence, not machinery, redefines two-wheelers—a complete reinvention of the category beyond mere electrification.
Founder and Group CEO Mohal Lalbhai and Co-founder & Group CTO Kumar Prasad Telikepalli unveiled the platform at Tech Day 3.0. Lalbhai declared that two-wheelers, once machine-bound, will now be intelligence-driven, while Telikepalli emphasised accelerated development and vehicles that evolve with every kilometre through real-time learning.
Unlike conventional upgrades, AIDV enables self-optimising engines, battery life, thermal management, and performance, fostering sustainability and cost-efficiency.The platform transcends hardware, positioning AI as the true game-changer.
Matter plans to launch multiple models over the next 3-4 years via AIDV, prioritising performance, safety, energy efficiency, and durability, with continuous improvements ensuring escalating capabilities.
Within 36-48 months, five segments will debut: street motorcycles, streetfighter motorcycles, adventure motorcycles, youth commuter motorcycles, and electric scooters—targeting comprehensive Indian two-wheeler market coverage.
Matter's Era—featuring a liquid-cooled motor and battery—already operates on a software-defined platform with OTA updates enhancing capabilities, backed by over 400 innovations and 97 patents.
The AIDV integrates AI to regulate engine, battery, and components in real-time, perpetually refining vehicles into smarter, more intelligent machines.
