17 Jan (HS): Uttar Pradesh Finance and Parliamentary Affairs Minister and

Lucknow District In-Charge Minister Suresh Kumar Khanna made a surprise visit

to Diamond Dairy Colony on Saturday to inspect the cleanliness system and

compliance with the given instructions. On Friday, he had conducted a surprise

inspection at 7:00 a.m. to assess the cleanliness in various wards of Zone 1.

Expressing strong displeasure over the shortcomings and negligence found during

the inspection, he reprimanded the officials and concerned employees.

The

Minister in Charge returned to Diamond Dairy Colony on Saturday to assess

compliance with the instructions issued during his Friday inspection and assess

the ground situation. During his inspection, he found that cleanup work was

underway, and a significant amount of cleanup had been completed, and the

Municipal Corporation had removed illegal encroachments.

Kumar Khanna directed the Municipal Commissioner to construct an open gym on

the site freed from illegal occupation. It should also be barricaded with wire

mesh. He stated that the site would be re-inspected after 20 days. Negligence

in sanitation work will not be tolerated. He urged officials to take a keen

interest in sanitation work, as monitoring improves results. Concerned

officials should regularly conduct on-site inspections in their areas and

ensure cleanliness.
