New Delhi, August 14 (HS): The Delhi Milk Scheme (DMS) has unveiled its new Cow Milk line and a range of co‑branded dairy products, while also expanding its retail network with 22 new milk booths. The move aims to improve product quality, boost consumer trust, and create fresh livelihood opportunities.
The launch event took place on 13 August 2025 at the NASC Complex, Pusa, and was led by Alka Upadhyaya, Secretary of the Department of Animal Husbandry & Dairying (DAHD), alongside senior officials and dairy sector stakeholders.
Better Products, Stronger Rural–Urban Link
The new offerings — developed in partnership with the Haryana Milk Federation — are designed to deliver high‑quality milk products to consumers while giving livestock farmers better market access. Speaking at the event, Smt. Upadhyaya said the initiative would strengthen the dairy ecosystem through innovation and inclusive growth.
Varsha Joshi, Additional Secretary, DAHD, highlighted the reputation of the DMS brand in the Delhi NCR region and said the introduction of new products would help it stay competitive and relevant.
More Opportunities for Entrepreneurs
The 22 newly allotted booths will be run by selected applicants, linking rural producers directly with urban customers and generating new self‑employment.
The event was attended by top DAHD officials, including Shri Rama Shankar Sinha, Shri Jagat Hazarika, and Sh. Ram Avtar Garg, Chairman of Vita (Haryana Dairy Development Co‑operative Federation Ltd.), along with dairy entrepreneurs and booth beneficiaries.
With this expansion, DMS is reinforcing its role as a trusted supplier of quality dairy in Delhi while supporting farmers and small businesses alike.
