Islamabad, July 9 (HS): Pakistani security forces killed eight terrorists linked to the Fitna al-Khawarij organization who were attempting to infiltrate from Afghanistan's Kunar province into Bajaur district on Tuesday. The confrontation occurred near Lowi Mamund tehsil, a hilly and tribal area, after security forces challenged the infiltrators and subsequently eliminated them. The operation was based on intelligence reports; however, the military's media wing, ISPR, has not issued an official statement. Local residents confirmed the clashes and reported that a child, Muhammad Khan, was injured during the fighting and was subsequently hospitalized.

Previously, on July 2, a terrorist attack in Khar tehsil resulted in five deaths, including key government officials, and injured several others, highlighting ongoing security challenges in the region.
