– Dhadak-2- The path of struggle to turn dreams into reality

– 'The 2018 film 'Dhadak' resonated with audiences, leading to the sequel 'Dhadak-2'. Directed by Shazia Iqbal, it stars Tripti Dimri and Siddhant Chaturvedi, exploring themes of love, social discrimination, and personal struggles. 'Dhadak-2' releases on August 1. Chaturvedi shared insights about the film and his career in an interview with 'Hindusthan Samachar'.

Question: What was your first reaction when you got the opportunity to work in this film?

Answer: Initially, the film was unnamed, yet its profound narrative captivated both Tripti and me. It's more than a simple love story; it explores layers of social discrimination. For me, it represents a spiritual journey illustrated tenderly through the love between two characters from different communities. There’s depth and emotion in the story that resonated with me, drawing my interest.

Question: Can today's youth relate to this story?

Answer: Absolutely!'Dhadak-2' portrays the journey of youth navigating challenges to fulfill their dreams, transcending a mere love story. It reflects the experiences of young individuals migrating from villages to cities, filled with hope of building new lives without the constraints of identity, caste, or social background. The film emphasizes the desire to be seen as individuals, appreciated for their abilities and emotions, rather than being defined by their origins. It mirrors the struggles and aspirations of today’s youth, who are increasingly aware of social divisions and strive for equality and respect. Ultimately, 'Dhadak-2' serves as an emotional and social narrative, resonating with sensitive viewers.

Question: Have you ever done theater?

Answer: Yes,I had limited theater experience in school and never envisioned becoming an actor. My curiosity to try new things pushed me toward acting. When portraying a character, I fully immerse myself to live the experience authentically. I believe this is merely the beginning; there's much more to learn. Every day, I see myself as a student, gaining insight from each experience.

Question: Does the concept of an 'ideal love story' exist today?

Answer:The 'ideal love story' remains something I seek, as I believe love is the most beautiful feeling that makes life whole. It's not about the first or last love; sometimes you encounter someone who seems destined for you, who comprehends and embraces you. Today's generation should see love as a responsibility and a journey, needing sincere and honest nurturing. By being truthful about your emotions, true love will eventually arrive. I hold onto this belief, awaiting a love that is heartfelt, unconditional, and selfless.
