Guwahati, 27 June (HS): The first Global Assamese Conference 2026 will be organized at IIT Guwahati from January 16 to 18, 2026. This historic event is an effort to connect Assamese diaspora from around the world with the common goal of sustainable development, cultural preservation and global connectivity of Assam.

This conference is being organized under the Global Assamese Engagement Initiative and there will be in-depth dialogue on the past, present and future of Assam in thematic sessions for three days.
