New Delhi, June 02(HS): Paraguay's President Santiago Peña Palacios has arrived in New Delhi for a three-day official visit, where he received a guard of honor at the Palam Air Force Station. He is scheduled to hold discussions with Prime Minister Narendra Modi to review bilateral relations, and will also meet with President Droupadi Murmu, Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar, and External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar.

Accompanied by a high-level delegation of ministers, officials, and business representatives, this marks President Peña's first visit to India and the second by a Paraguayan president since diplomatic relations began in 1961. Before returning home, he will visit Mumbai to engage with political leaders and industry representatives. Paraguay plays a vital role as India's commercial partner in Latin America.
