Guwahati, 14 June (HS): On the occasion of World Blood Donation Day, the Assam Chief Minister Dr Himanta Biswa Sarma has donated his blood here on Saturday and has called upon the common people to participate enthusiastically in this great work.

The Chief Minister has shared a post on social media saying that a great work like blood donation can bring a ray of hope in a person's life. Blood donation means life donation. It is a matter of good fortune to get a chance to associate oneself with this selfless work.

Today on 'World Blood Donor Day', I heartily thank each person associated with this sacred work. He said, let us spread more awareness in the society about blood donation.
