Tehran, June 13 (HS): Israel launched attacks on multiple locations in Iran early Friday morning, causing widespread shock and terror among residents in Tehran. According to Iran's Mehr News Agency, the Israeli military targeted residential areas, resulting in several loud explosions. In response, Israel's Defense Minister, Israel Katz, announced that multiple operations had been conducted against Iran, leading to a state of emergency in Israel and air raid sirens sounding in Tel Aviv.

Katz warned of potential missile and drone attacks on Israel following these preemptive strikes. Reports indicated that Israeli forces focused on Iranian nuclear facilities and research scientists, with the operation referred to as Operation Rising Lion by Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. The attacks reportedly resulted in the death of Hossein Salami, commander of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps. An American official clarified that the U.S. was not involved in the Israeli attacks, with Secretary of State Marco Rubio emphasizing the U.S. priority to safeguard American forces in the region while urging Iran not to target U.S. interests. In Tehran, explosions were heard, and injuries were reported, particularly from the key uranium enrichment site in Natanz.
