New Delhi, June 11(HS): The Supreme Court has dismissed a plea to quash criminal proceedings against a Maharashtra judicial officer accused of sexually assaulting his minor daughter. Justice Prashant Kumar Mishra, part of the vacation bench, expressed shock over the allegations and highlighted the complainant's fear. The court stated that quashing proceedings against a judicial officer in such a serious matter is unjustified. The officer's lawyer argued the claims stemmed from a marital dispute, but this argument was also rejected. The Bombay High Court had previously denied the officer's request to dismiss the case before the officer appealed to the Supreme Court.
