New Delhi, June 1 (H.S.): The prices of LPG gas cylinders have been reduced by oil marketing companies, effective today, with the 19-kilogram commercial gas cylinder becoming cheaper by 24 rupees. The new retail price in Delhi is now 1,723.50 rupees, while the price for the 14.2-kilogram domestic LPG cylinder remains unchanged. The 19-kilogram cylinder, primarily used for commercial purposes like hotels and restaurants, contrasts with the domestic cylinder, which saw a price increase of 50 rupees on April 7, applicable to all consumers, including Ujjwala scheme beneficiaries.
Following the latest reduction, the price in Mumbai dropped from 1,699 rupees to 1,675 rupees, while in Kolkata it decreased from 1,851.50 rupees to 1,827.50 rupees. Other cities also noted price reductions: Noida from 1,747.50 to 1,723.50 rupees, Jaipur from 1,776 to 1,752 rupees, Chandigarh from 1,767 to 1,743 rupees, Bhubaneswar from 1,892 to 1,868 rupees, and Bengaluru from 1,820.50 to 1,796.50 rupees per cylinder.
