Guwahati, 9 May (HS): The Vasishta police of Guwahati have arrested two notorious thieves involved in a theft case. Police said on Friday that Sahnoor (25, Goalpara) and Pankaj Pathak alias Geetu (26, Tripura), involved in the theft case, were arrested during an operation based on secret information.

Some stolen utensils and electrical goods have been recovered from the arrested accused. Police have expressed apprehension that both the arrested accused are involved in many theft incidents around Guwahati. Police are conducting intensive interrogation of both the arrested thieves on the basis of the FIR already registered.
