New Delhi, May 9 (H.S.): India stated that last night, Pakistan violated the border at 36 locations, targeting India's military and civilian areas with 400 attacks. During this time, Pakistan adopted an irresponsible attitude by not restricting the movement of civilian aircraft in the war zone. In response, India carried out measured actions at four locations, successfully destroying another defense system of Pakistan.
Foreign Secretary Vikram Misri provided this information during a special press conference held in New Delhi on Friday. He stated that Pakistan deliberately targeted civilian and military infrastructure, with the aim of understanding India's military defense structure. Drones manufactured in Turkey were used in the attacks. Regarding the counteraction, Misri mentioned that India responded with complete responsibility yesterday.
On the question related to Pakistan's bailout in the IMF, Misri said that India would present its position in today's ongoing IMF meeting. Misri added, “Pakistan has conducted large-scale drone attacks and heavy firing along the LOC with the intention of probing India’s military infrastructure. India responded with complete responsibility and restraint, ensuring the safety of international civilian flights.”
Misri accused Pakistan of crossing all limits of lies and sinking very low. He stated that Pakistan has also targeted our religious sites in its attacks, while accusing us of targeting our own religious sites. Additionally, they are trying to give it a communal color.
Referring to an attack, Mishri mentioned that on the morning of May 7, Pakistan carried out heavy shelling along the LoC, during which a shell fell behind Christ School in Poonch. Two students lost their lives and their parents were injured. Pakistan is now targeting religious sites.
In a press briefing, Colonel Sofia Qureshi and Wing Commander Vyomik Singh provided information about the military operations. Colonel Sofia Qureshi stated that around 300-400 drones were sent from the Pakistani side, most of which were destroyed by the Indian Army. These drones were manufactured by the Turkish company Asisguard. Last night, Indian soldiers were casualties due to firing from Pakistan. Qureshi reported, “In response to the Pakistani attacks, India employed armed drones to target four air defense locations, resulting in the destruction of one Pakistani radar.”
In response to a question regarding the murder of journalist Daniel Pearl, Foreign Secretary Mishri stated that Bahawalpur is the headquarters of the terrorist organization Jaish-e-Mohammed, led by the UN-designated Maulana Masood Azhar. He mentioned that Ahmed Omar Saeed Sheikh, who was indirectly involved in Daniel Pearl’s murder, was also linked to this network.
