Bhopal, 29 May (H.S.) : If there is a strong determination and strong will to do something, then even a difficult path becomes easy. This has been proved by Mrs. Seema Mewada of Sehore district. Seema, who lives in a small village Ramkhedi, was once just a housewife herself. Being busy with household chores all day, fulfilling the responsibility of the family, this was her daily life. But somewhere in her mind, there was a passion to do something of her own, to make her own identity. She had a dream to move ahead and take people like her forward. Mrs. Mewada, a resident of village Ramkhedi of Sehore district, who is becoming an inspiration for women, is one of those women who really have the skill to do something.
Seema says that it was my endeavor from the beginning to start my own business, but I used to step back due to not having a good financial condition. Mrs. Mewada said that when I got information about the Pradhan Mantri Micro Food Processing Scheme, I applied for it. Within a few days, I got a loan of Rs 3 lakh 40 thousand under this scheme. After getting the loan, I started making my own Namkeen on a small scale with the help of my family and started a small Namkeen making unit. Gradually, people started liking the Namkeen made by us and my business started growing.
Mrs. Mewada said that the work was difficult in the beginning. Limited resources, less experience, but the spirit was high. The family also supported me completely. Gradually my hard work started paying off. My Namkeen business grew from small shops to wholesale Namkeen supply. Today Namkeen is made by machines in Seema's workshop and the special thing is that 9 people are getting employment in this work. The woman who was once hesitant to go out of the house, is today giving wings to the dreams of others as well. Seema's monthly income has reached 20 thousand rupees and the work is growing continuously.
Sharing her experience further, Seema also says that if a woman is determined to work, then nothing is impossible. We are not limited to just managing the household, but we are also not behind in managing the country's economy. Today, Mrs. Mewada has become an inspiration not only for her village but for the entire district. Her story tells us that women empowerment is not just a matter of big cities, the revolution will also start from the streets of the village.
