Indore, 29 May (H.S.) : The monitoring of transparency and functioning of the revenue courts of Indore district will now be more robust. Collector Ashish Singh has directed that CCTV cameras be installed in all the revenue courts of Indore district. Through these cameras, the presence of officers, the process of hearing of cases and other activities will be monitored.

A meeting of revenue officers was held under the chairmanship of Collector Ashish Singh. Additional Collector Rikesh Vaishya, Rajendra Raghuvanshi, Nisha Damor, all SDMs, Tehsildars, Naib Tehsildars and other revenue officers were present in the meeting.

Collector Singh said that this initiative is being taken with the aim of ensuring timely resolution of revenue cases and transparency, so that common citizens do not have to visit offices again and again. He directed the officers to be present in the board room on time. Some officers do not reach on time, which causes delay in work. To prevent this, CCTV cameras will also be installed in the board room. The process of installing cameras will be completed soon.

In the meeting, the Collector gave strict instructions that there should not be unnecessary delay in any case of undisputed transfer. Not a single case should remain pending for more than three months. This will be the responsibility of SDM and Naib Tehsildars. The Collector also gave instructions to improve demarcation related matters. He said that if cases are being rejected due to demarcation or partition, then a clear record of it should be kept in the revenue records. Necessary machines will also be made available soon to overcome technical problems.

Emphasizing on the improvement of revenue records, Collector Mr. Singh said that regular monitoring of pending cases will be done by the Additional Collector. Delay in Farmer Registry cases will also not be tolerated. Regarding revenue collection, Collector Mr. Singh told the officials that they should not wait for the portal to be made, but should start working with full hard work from now onwards. Expressing displeasure over the decline in CM Helpline Revenue Grading, the Collector said that all complaints should be resolved within 50 days. The problems of the complainants should be resolved satisfactorily by personally communicating with them.
