New Delhi, May 22 (H.S.): Today, global market signals show weakness, with the US markets having declined significantly in the previous session. Dow Jones futures are slightly up today, trading at 41,888.69 points, a gain of 0.07%. Last session, rising bond yields and a poor demand for the 20-year bond auction negatively impacted Wall Street, causing the Dow Jones to drop 816 points, the S&P 500 to close down by 95.85 points (1.61%) at 5,844.61, and the Nasdaq to fall 270.07 points (1.41%) to 18,872.64 points.

European markets had mixed results; the FTSE index rose by 0.06% to 8,786.46 points, and the DAX increased by 0.36% to 24,122.40 points, while the CAC index decreased by 0.40% to 7,910.49 points. In Asia, the trend is dominated by selling pressure—six out of nine indices are in the red. The SET Composite Index in Thailand is up 0.14%, and the Jakarta Composite Index gained 0.40%. However, the Nifty GIFT in India fell by 0.94%, and the Straits Times Index dropped by 0.33%. The KOSPI declined by 1.35%, the Nikkei fell 1.14%, while the Taiwan Weighted Index and Hang Seng Index also recorded losses of 0.68% and 0.55%, respectively.
