Nagpur, 21 May
(HS): The students seeking admission to Standard XI through the online process
introduced by the State Government faced problems and were frustrated as the
website provided by the government did not open. The problem occurred on the
first day of the beginning of registration on Wednesday. The School Education
Directorate said that the site did not work because of technical problems. The
work on repairing the site was in progress, and will be operational soon.
The Maharashtra
Government started centralised admission for Standard XI throughout the state from the 2025-26 academic session. A total of 13,02,873 students cleared the Standard X
(SSC) examinations, and for them, 20,91,390 seats are available. Following a practice
session for three days, the registration process was scheduled to start on
Wednesday. But the technical glitches resulted in halting the process, at least
for the day. The website shows ‘502 Bad Gateway’ on the screen. The information
about the technical problems was displayed in the afternoon. The Helpline phone
number provided by the Education Department also failed to respond.
