Jammu, 6 April (H.S.): MLA Jammu North and former Minister Sham Lal Sharma addressed a meeting of ex-servicemen, which was held today in Domana, under the leadership of retired Brigadier Balbir Singh Sambyal.

The event witnessed the presence of several decorated veterans, including Captain Paras Ram Sharma, former Sarpanch Shamsher Singh, and many other ex-servicemen from Jammu North Assembly Constituency.

Sham Lal Sharma, who was the chief guest on the occasion, paid tribute to the immense sacrifices and unwavering dedication of the Indian armed forces. He assured the gathering that their concerns will be given top priority and conveyed his deep respect and commitment towards the welfare of veterans.

During the interactive session, the ex-servicemen raised several pressing issues, including poor road connectivity, irregular drinking water supply, lack of proper sanitation facilities, and problems related to delayed and inflated electricity bills. Sham Lal Sharma gave a patient hearing to each concern and assured that he would personally take up these matters with the concerned departments for swift resolution.

Speaking on the occasion, Sharma emphasized his progressive and proactive approach towards addressing the needs of his constituency. He assured the attendees that all the issues raised in the meeting would be taken seriously and resolved in a time-bound manner through coordinated efforts with the concerned departments.

Sham Lal Sharma further added that he would issue clear directions to the administrative machinery to ensure that all public-related concerns—especially those related to road infrastructure, drinking water supply, sanitation, and electricity—are addressed on priority. He reaffirmed his commitment to transparent and responsive governance, where public service delivery is prompt and effective.

Sharma also took the opportunity to thank all the workers, supporters, and well-wishers for their relentless commitment and devotion during the recent elections. He stated that their hard work and unity created a strong aura not only around him but also around the Bharatiya Janata Party, strengthening the party’s presence and connect with the people of the constituency.
