Prayagraj,

03 April (HS): First Chaudhary Mahadeo National Moot Court Competition, 2025 has

officially begun. The Preliminary rounds 1 and 2 have been organised on Thursday

in the Law Department, CMP Degree College. Principal Prof. Ajay Prakash Khare

welcomed all the participating teams from across the country. He appreciated

the organising of such events for sharpening the critical thinking and

argumentative skills of Law students. The inaugural session was attended by the

partners of the event i.e. Anuj Tiwari Law Officer, Amikus Quraie, Judiciary

Gold and Legal Chariot.

The

moot proposition has been drafted by Anuj Tiwari Law Officer who also sponsored

the prize money of the first winner. The total prize money is about 1 lakh

rupees. The preliminary rounds have been conducted in online mode through

Google Meet by event organizing firm, Amikus Quraie. Judiciary Gold has

assisted in the logistics of the event. Renu Singh, Co-ordinator, B.A.LL.B.

(H.) gave a description of Prayagraj and CMP Degree College as most of the

participating teams are from outside of Prayagraj.

Eight

teams have been shortlisted from among all the participating teams of

Preliminary Rounds, who will now compete in the Quarter, Semi and Final rounds

which is to be held on 13th April, 2025. All the faculty members and volunteers

of the event were present in the Preliminary Rounds. The anchoring of the

inaugural session was done by Pratyaksha Tiwari, a sixth semester student. Vote

of thanks was delivered by Himanshu Upadhyaya, Faculty, B.A.LL.B. (H.).
