Hooghly, 3 April (H.S.): The Supreme court on Thursday cancelled the appointments of 25 thousand 753 teachers and non-teaching staff appointed under the SSC recruitment process of 2016 in West Bengal, after which there is chaos in many schools of West Bengal which are already facing a shortage of teachers. After the Supreme Court's decision on Thursday, there will be a further shortage of teachers, which will make it very difficult to run the school for headmasters.
Pramod Kumar Tiwari, Principal of Rishra Vidyapith High School, said, There was already a huge shortage of teachers in my school, which has about two and a half thousand students. After the Supreme Court's decision on Thursday, the appointments of 11 teachers of the school have been cancelled. How will only 18 teachers run such a big school now?
At the same time, Rishra Vidyapith Girls High School, which has about two and a half thousand students, had 14 teachers earlier, out of which the appointment of two has been cancelled after the Supreme Court's decision. Now twelve teachers will have to manage the entire school together.
Rishra Vidyapeeth Unit (2) which has two thousand students, earlier had 19 teachers. After the Supreme Court's decision, the appointment of 12 teachers of the school has been cancelled, due to which running such a big school with only seven teachers has become a big challenge for the headmaster Roshan Mal.
On the other hand, BN Jha, headmaster of Rishra Swatantrata Hindi Vidyalaya said that there are about one thousand students and 17 teachers in his school. After the Supreme Court's decision, the appointment of three of them has been cancelled.
Prabhasnagar Shri Shiv Hindi High School's Principal Dr Umesh Prasad Singh said that after the Supreme Court's decision, the appointment of a female teacher of his school has also been cancelled.
Bandel Mahatma Gandhi Hindi High School's headmaster Vijay Prasad said that six academic and one non-academic appointments have been cancelled in his school.
On the other hand, Hooghly Gaur Hari Harijan Vidyamandir's Principal Shiv Badan Yadav said that the appointment of two non-academic staff has been cancelled after the Supreme Court's decision.
