New Delhi, April 25 (HS): After the Pahalgam attack, India has suspended the 'Indus Water Treaty' with Pakistan. This decision was discussed in a meeting lasting about 45 minutes between Union Home Minister Amit Shah and Union Minister of Jal Shakti CR Patil on Friday.

The meeting held at Amit Shah's residence focused on immediate, medium-term, and long-term measures. After the meeting, Patil told the media, The historic decision taken by the Modi government on the Indus Water Treaty is completely just and in the national interest. We will ensure that not a drop of water from the Indus River goes to Pakistan.

He stated that work will begin immediately on all possible ways to share the water. Soon, the process of dredging the rivers will be undertaken, which will allow water to be held back and diverted.
