New Delhi, April 23 (H.S.): The Delhi High Court Bar Association (DHCBA) and the New Delhi Bar Association of Patiala House Court (NDBA) have condemned the terror attack that took place in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir.
The newly elected president of the Delhi High Court Bar Association, N. Hariharan, stated that lawyers at the Delhi High Court will wear white armbands in protest of this incident. The statement emphasized that the terrorist act in Pahalgam is a cowardly act and an attack on the sovereignty, unity, and integrity of the nation. He condemned the incident and demanded that the central government take immediate and appropriate measures to prevent such incidents. The vice president of the Delhi High Court Bar Association, Sachin Puri, also condemned this incident.
The New Delhi Bar Association of Patiala House Court also issued a statement condemning this incident. They expressed solidarity with the victims of this attack and characterized the incident as a cowardly act.
On the same day, the Supreme Court also condemned this incident, observing two minutes of silence at 2 PM to pay tribute to the martyrs. Lawyers gathered in the Supreme Court lawn, and the Chief Justice, along with lawyers present in Courtroom No. 1, stood in tribute.
