Buldana, 02 Apr (HS):-Five people died and 24 were
injured on Wednesday morning in a road accident involving three vehicles, on the Shegaon-Khamgaon
Highway in Buldana district.
According to information available here, a speeding
Bolero car hit a State Transport bus. A private traveller bus coming from
behind also collided, causing heavy damage to the vehicles and death of five people.
The accident occurred around 5.30 am. The Bolero car was going to Kolhapur from
Shegaon, and it hit the Pune-bound ST bus coming from Paratwada.
The injured were rushed to a government hospital in
Khamgaon. Six of them are said to be critical.
In another incident in Buldana district, an iron bar from a bridge fell on the Samruddhi Mahamagr (Nagpur-Mumbai Expressway). In a short span of time, the tyres of about eight vehicles got punctured. The incident occurred on the night between Tuesday and Wednesday. No casualty was reported.
The vehicle owners stated that they could get help
only after an hour from the Expressway authorities.
