Lucknow,

02 April (HS): Uttar Pradesh Minister of State for Minority Welfare Danish Azad

told reporters on Wednesday that the Waqf Amendment Act is a very important

step for the development of Muslims. This Act will help a lot in organizing and

regularizing the Waqf properties of the Muslim community. Common Muslims are

completely with this amendment. Some political parties and some special people

are opposing it for their personal interests. Those who have illegally occupied

the Waqf properties are opposing it, while common Muslims, especially backward

Pasmanda Muslims, are completely with the Waqf Amendment Act.

The

Minister of State for Minority Welfare said that after the Waqf Amendment Act

comes, there will be proper auditing of the Waqf Board. This will increase the

income of the board, which will directly benefit the welfare of the Muslim

community. Apart from this, there will be proper documentation; illegal

encroachments on the properties will be removed. Along with this, Muslim

society will get more strength from the participation of women and Pasmanda

society in the Waqf Board.

He

said that apart from this, it will also be ensured that the Waqf properties are

used for the progress of the Muslim community. This bill should have come a

long time ago but the Congress and all those parties who call themselves

well-wishers of Muslims have never worked for the concrete development of Muslims.

Today,

if the Modi government is working for the concrete development of Muslims, then

if the opposition, especially the Congress and Samajwadi Party, were

well-wishers of Muslims, they would not have opposed this bill but would have

supported it.
