Bhubaneswar, 18 April (H.S.) There is a need for regular coordination between the concerned departments and the Forest Department for speedy and smooth clearance of the forest land involved in various development projects undertaken by the Central Government and the State Government in Odisha. Realizing this, a review meeting is held under the direction of the Additional Chief Secretary, Forest, Environment and Climate Change Department, Sri Satyabrata Sahu. It has been decided to arrange for speedy and smooth resolution of various issues related to clearance of forest land in the projects by holding meetings with the departments.
In this regard, the first review meeting was held today under the chairmanship of Shri Satyabrata Sahu, Additional Chief Secretary, Department of Forest, Environment and Climate Change department. In today's review meeting, six (6) of the Ministry of Railways under the Central Government, one (1) of the Gas Authority of India, one (1) of the Indian Oil Corporation , one (1) of the Indian Oil Corporation , eight (8) of Ekalabya model Residential School under the State Government, three (3) of water resources department, seven (7) of Odisha Power Transmission Corporation, progress of total 26 such projects and the problems related to final clearance of forest land were discussed in detail and the time frame was fixed for resolving various issues. In the coming weeks, this review meeting will be held on every Tuesday and all the steps related to the above projects and new projects will be finalised, additional Chief Secretary Sri Satyabrata Sahu said.
