Quetta-bound Bolan Mail (3UP) train stopped on Sunday due to security reasons

Islamabad, April 14 (H.S.): On Sunday night, the Bolan Mail train (3 Up) from Karachi to Quetta was halted at Jacobabad railway station due to security concerns, causing distress among passengers. Railway officials reported that the train arrived after midnight and was instructed to stop until security clearance was secured, as night operations in Balochistan are prohibited.

CEO Amir Ali Baloch confirmed that the train's journey was delayed for several hours, with about 150 passengers onboard. Many were transferred to buses for travel to Quetta and other destinations under tight security the following morning. While some passengers received fare refunds, others protested, feeling unjustly stranded after being charged for the full journey.

Reports indicated displeasure over inadequate refunds, with claims made regarding the fare discrepancy. Eyewitnesses noted widespread anger among passengers regarding the situation.

Furthermore, changes to the Bolan Mail’s schedule will take effect soon, with new departure times set for 3 PM from Karachi, instead of the previous 7 PM.
