Jammu, 29 March (H.S.): “31st Holy Chhari Yatra” today was taken out to historic religious shrines of Purmandal yesterday after performing Pooja at Shri Ranbireshwar Mandir, Shri Raghunath Ji Mandir Jammu by the representatives of Dharmarth Trust, J&K, Management Trust, Shri Lakshmi Narayan Mandir, Gandhi Nagar, Dogra Sadar Sabha.
Thereafter the Holy Maces were taken to Shri Lakshmi Narayan Mandir, Gandhi Nagar, Jammu by Mahatmas and renowned Pujaris led by Mahant Rishiban Ji, where a Grand Pooja was performed in presence of Vikram Randhawa MLA Gandhi Nagar and Th Gulchain Singh Charak, (Former Minister) and President Shri Lakshmi Narayan Mandir Management Trust along with Members of Management Trust. Large number of Devotees and Saints also participated.
After that the Holy Chharis were taken to Purmandal in a profusely decorated Vehicle via Shri Mahadev Mandir Gandhi Nagar, Shiv Mandir Trikukta Nagar, Shiv Mandir Greater Kailash, Data Ranpat Dev Ji and Shri Narsingh Dev Ji Mandirs’ Birpur, Kharah Madana and to Holy Shrines Purmandal.
Enroute, a befitting reception was given by the large number of people of all shades.
Special reception to the Holy Chharis was organized at Kharah Madana, Mandal etc, where a Guldasta of communal harmony was observed where Hindus/Muslims/ Sikhs and prominent Moulvis of the area received the Holy Maces and offered heavy refreshments to the pilgrims accompanying the Yatra.
Th Gulchain Singh Charak while addressing the people explained the importance of these Historical Shrines and about the Holy Chhari Yatra which was started 30 years back and also thanks the members of all organizations participating in the event for their full support for making the same a Grand Success.
He also thanks District Administration Samba for taking keen interest in the development of these Historical Shrines. He also urged the Govt and Dharamarth Trust to ensure all-round development of these Holy places on war footing.
Vikram Randhawa, MLA after performing the pooja archana of the holy maces appreciated Shri Lakshmi Narayan Mandir Management Trust for their consistent efforts for the last 30 years in making this Chhari Yatra a grand success by taking on board people from all walks of life which is the uniqueness of this Chhari Yatra.
