Gruesome report about narcotics jihad from Kerala's Malappuram

Thiruvananthapuram, 17 March(HS): The heart-wrenching story of a narcotics jihad has come out from Malappuram. A 23-year-old youth Mohammed Ghafoor has been arrested by the police on Monday morning on charges of sexually abusing a girl for the last five years by making her addicted to narcotics.

The 21-year-old girl was trapped by Ghafoor in 2020 while she was a Plus One student through social media. According to the girl, Ghafoor, who looks like a Hindi film star, took her around in his imported bikes and both had breakfast and lunch from expensive hotels in Vengara, a town in Malappuram. Meanwhile, Ghafoor made her consume some kind of white powder with the assurance that she would become more beautiful once she had the powder.

The girl consumed whatever was given to her by Ghafoor who took her to the houses of his friends and seduced her. Even while seducing, Ghafoor took pictures of them in compromising positions as well as the nude pictures of the girl. The gullible girl fell to the sweet talk and did whatever she was asked to do without realizing the consequences.

‘It was last month that the girl showed signs of having become a drug addict. By that time, she had parted with the gold ornaments she was wearing and had started stealing money from home as per the directives of Ghafoor. Her parents took her to a counsellor and it was to her that the girl spilled the beans.

Ghafoor’s social media posts are full of his pictures in expensive clothes and high-end bikes. Police took him into custody this morning and a probe is on to find out details of other victims whom he has exploited. But the cops are under pressure from the leaders of the CPI(M) and Congress not to harass him. It may be noted that many non-Muslim families have left the district to escape from the evil designs of the Jihadi elements.
