Guwahati, 16 March (HS): A tragic road accident took place in Guwahati's Noonmati Sector-3, in which a scooter rider killed on the spot. According to eyewitnesses, a speeding passenger bus hit the scooter, due to which the driver along with the vehicle came under the front part of the bus and killed on the spot.

After the incident, local people protested and raised questions on the traffic system. Police reached the spot and controlled the situation and sent the body of the deceased for postmortem. Investigation of the accident is going on. Till the time of filing this report, the deceased could not be identified.
