New Delhi, March 14 (H.S.): India and Bangladesh conducted the naval exercise Bongosagar, alongside coordinated patrols in the Bay of Bengal this week. The Indian Navy’s INS Ranvir and Bangladesh's BNS Abu Ubaida participated, enhancing mutual cooperation and combat capabilities between the two navies.
Key activities included surface gunnery, tactical maneuvers, replenishment operations, VBSS cross boarding, communication exercises, and professional training for operations teams and junior officers. This exercise was crucial for strengthening strategic ties, coordination, and information sharing, fostering seamless maritime operations.
The collaboration improved confidence and coordination for joint naval operations, ensuring rapid responses to maritime threats. It underscores both nations' commitment to regional security, aligning with India's Sagar initiative for safety and growth.
