Jorhat (Assam), 14 March (HS): Union Home Minister Amit Shah is arriving on a visit to Assam on Friday. He will attend various programs in the Northeast as part of his three-day official visit.

According to sources, Home Minister Shah will reach Roroia Airport in Jorhat directly tonight. He will stay overnight at the guest house of the Police Training Academy in Dergaon.

On Saturday, he will formally inaugurate the Lachit Barphukan Police Academy built by the Assam government in Dergaon. After this he will leave for Mizoram. After completing the official programs in Mizoram, he will return to Guwahati at night and stay overnight at the State Guest House in Koinadhara.

On Sunday morning, Shah will leave for Kokrajhar. There, he will attend the annual convention of the All Bodo Students Union (ABSU) held in Dotma.

After this, he will return to Guwahati in the evening and attend a meeting with all the Chief Ministers of the North-Eastern states at the Radisson Blu Hotel. After the meeting, he will leave for Delhi in the night itself.
