Tamil Nadu Governor inaugurates 16th Tribal Youth Exchange Programme


Tamil Nadu, 8 February (H.S.): My Bharat (NYKS), a Union Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports, is organizing the 16th Tribal Youth Exchange Camp in Chennai in collaboration with the Ministry of Home Affairs. The camp was inaugurated by the Governor of Tamil Nadu, R. N. Ravi, at a function held at the Governor's House on 8th February 2025.

According to press release issued by PIB, The camp, which will start today and continue till February 13, will see the participation of 220 tribal youth from Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh and Jharkhand. It will be an opportunity for them to learn about the diverse cultural traditions of the country. The event is also being held with the aim of developing their learning skills.

Inaugurating the program, the Governor said that Tamil Nadu should be a state that is advanced in all sectors, that Tamil is a very ancient language, and that he would like to learn a few words of Tamil during his days here.

He said that if our country is to become a developed country, the development of all sections of the people of the country is important. In this regard, the central government is giving priority to improving the quality of life of the tribal people, and the government is implementing many special schemes, especially for the vulnerable tribal communities.

The Governor said that students should consider two guiding principles for progress in their lives, one is to dream big and the second is to work hard to make that dream a reality.
