Mumbai, 08 Feb (HS):- The crime branch detected a
narcotic drug manufacturing unit in Boiser area of Maharashtra’s Palghar
district, and seized drugs worth over Rs 2.42 crore. The accused in the case
identified as Aman Naeem Murad is a postgraduate in Chemistry. He was granted
police custody till February 11 by a court.
Senior Police Inspector Pradip Patil led the team of
crime branch police in the raid of an apartment in Colour Cirty Society in Katkar
Pada region of Boiser. MD (Mephedrone) was being manufactured at the unit.
Police seized 1208 gm of MD, the market price of which was quoted as Rs
2,42,07,202.
