High speed car hits 4 vehicles in Surat, 2 dead, 4 injured


Surat, 8 February (HS): Late Friday night, a high speed car jumped the divider and hit 5 vehicles coming from the front near Walk Bridge on the outer ring road of Surat. 6 people were seriously injured in the incident, out of which 1 person died on the spot and the other in the hospital. 4 injured are being treated in the hospital. Both the deceased were real brothers (Kamlesh Sapolia and Ashwin Sapolia) and are said to be residents of Gir Somnath.

According to Laskana police sources, the name of the car owner who met with the accident is Manoj Kumar Dankhra and his son Kirtan Dankhra was driving the car. According to the family of the deceased, a young woman and 3 young men were riding in the high speed car coming from the front. The speed of the car is said to be 130 to 150 kilometers per hour. It is also alleged that the people sitting in the car were drunk. The injured include 3 members of the same family, a child and a couple. Two of them are being treated in the ICU. The injured family is said to be from Ambla village in Shihor tehsil of Bhavnagar district. The injured include Dharmesh Jasolia (37), Dharmishtha (28) and son Yagya (5).

According to the Laskana police station, there were four people in the car that met with the accident. The youth sitting in the back seat of the car was caught by the crowd and handed over to the police. The car driver and another youth escaped after getting the opportunity. The police have registered an FIR and started investigation.
