Imphal, 07 February (HS): Security forces in Manipur arrested two persons with narcotics in two separate operations, while in another case a person was caught on charges of kidnapping.

The police said on Friday that security forces arrested Md. Tajuddin (29) from Anita STD High School, Kwakta Pangal Lamkhai under Phogakachao Unit Police Station in Bishnupur district. 1041 grams of suspected brown sugar, a four-wheeler and a mobile were seized from him.

Similarly, security forces arrested Zamkholun Baite (40) from Moreh Gate No. 1 Assam Rifles checkpost under Moreh police station in Tengnoupal district. Seven packets of WIY tablets weighing 1.5 kg, a mobile phone and a four-wheeler were recovered from him.

Besides, Manipur police arrested Md. Anwar Hussain (41) from Kairang-Heingang Khong area under Heingang police station in Imphal East district for kidnapping two non-locals. Rintu Meena (37) and Montu Sheikh (20) were kidnapped from near Hatta Public Hospital and were rescued safely by the police.
