The main Opposition party in West Bengal, the BJP has criticized Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee's investment claims made during the Bengal Global Business Summit. It has described the event as an illusion, questioning the authenticity of the investments announced.

Leader of Opposition and BJP MLA Suvendu Adhikari said that the BGBS event was in reality is a glossy facade. The real meaning of BGBS isn't Bengal Global Business Summit, it actually means - Businesses' Graveyard in a Bankrupt State.

CM Mamata Banerjee has reduced the stature of BGBS to a circus, where people come for entertainment. The only precondition is that the attendees can't laugh on stage or within the venue.

The biggest LOL moment is when Mamata Banerjee announces the amount of Investment Proposals received in the current year.

Hold your breath. This year the amount is Rs. 4,40,595 Crores !!!

(Four lakh Forty thousand Five hundred Ninety five Crores).

So the total amount of Investment Proposals received in all the 8 editions of BGBS events over the years is Rs. 23,91,865 Crores !!!.

(Twenty three lakh Ninety one thousand Eight hundred Sixty five Crores). Only !!! Mamata Banerjee says that the majority of the amount has already been invested.

Even a child knows that it's the biggest lie of the world.
