Shillong, 06 February (HS): The 2025 budget session of the Meghalaya Legislative Assembly will run from February 28 to March 13. Assembly Speaker Thomas A. Sangma gave this information at the Khindailad office after the meeting of the Business Advisory Committee.
The session will be of a total of 10 days, in which three days have been set aside for private bills and seven days for government work. During this time, the MLAs will get an opportunity for detailed discussion.
Deputy Chief Minister Prestone Tynsong, Leader of Opposition Mukul Sangma, MLAs Charles Pingrop and Lakhmen Rymbui were also present in the meeting.
Emphasizing the need for detailed discussion, Speaker Sangma said that if necessary, the session can be extended till Friday so that all the topics can be properly debated.
