Kolkata/New Delhi, 05 February (HS),: Reliance Industries Limited (RIL) Chairman and MD Mukesh Ambani on Wednesday announced a new investment of Rs 50 thousand crore in West Bengal by the end of this decade. He said that this investment will create one lakh jobs in the state.

Addressing the 8th Bengal Global Business Summit (BGBS) 2025 here, Mukesh Ambani said that Reliance will make new investments of Rs 50 thousand crore in West Bengal by 2030. Our investment in Bengal is not only financial. More importantly, it is an emotional investment. As one of the leading private sector employers in Bengal, today I have a recommendation and an appeal to potential investors, who are present here today and who are not.

Mukesh Ambani said that first of all I worship Goddess Kali, the presiding deity of Bengal. It is also my utmost duty to pay tribute to all the great sons and daughters of the sacred land of Bengal. He said that from Swami Vivekananda to Gurudev Rabindranath Tagore, from Bankim Chandra Chatterjee to Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose, from Satyajit Ray to Hemant Mukherjee, Bengal has given birth to great leaders in the field of spirituality, literature, art, culture and of course patriotism. Bengal has always been a land of renaissance. Now Bengal is witnessing a renaissance in economy and business as well.

Mukesh Ambani said that it is generally believed that western states are leading in economy and business but this situation is changing rapidly. Reliance has had a wonderful experience doing business in the state. Mamata Didi is one of the most able administrators of India.
